Scene 1 -- Interrogation Room: Shawn Spencer has been sending tips in to the Santa Barbara police department, for rewards, and has aroused suspicion because of his knowledge. Detective Lassiter and his partner (with whom he is having an affair) Lucinda, interrogate him. Lassiter doesn't believe he has solved the cases because of superior ability, and is about to have him locked up in a holding cell, so Spencer pretends he's psychic, and convinces the other officers of this. Lassiter doesn't believe it.

Scene 2 -- Scene of the crime: Shawn and Gus enter a large mansion, where Lassiter and his partner are asking questions of the inhabitants - whose son has been kidnapped, in the living room. We see Lassiter turn and look at him, but no lines.

Scene 3 -- Exterior, in front of Santa Barbara Police Department: Lassiter and Lucinda, in shades, walking along sidewalk, when approached by Shawn and Gus. Lassiter ignores them.

Scene 4 -- Interior, restaurant in Santa Barbara Police Department: Lassiter reveals to audience that he has been separated from his wife for 5 months. He's having a relationship with Lucinda.

Scene 5 -- Exterior, Woody spot across lake: Lassiter and Lucinda arrive at spot with Gus and Shawn, and see dog, et al across lake. Lassiter gets to do business with binoculars.

Scene 6 -- Interior, cabin: Lassiter and Lucinda, the chief, Gus, Shawn and two dead bodies. Lassiter has no lines. We are led to believe case is closed.

Scene 7 -- Interior, Santra Barbara Police Department: Few seconds only. Lassiter shakes hands with father of murder victim, as Shawn watches. No dialog.

Scene 8 -- Interior, Santra Barbara Police Department: Lassiter with father of murder victim, as Lucinda exits glassed-in room. No dialog.

Scene 9 -- Interior, Santra Barbara Police Department: Lassiter leaves glassed-in room, takes Shawn by the shoulder and escorts him a few feet away. Shawn gets out of his grip, they have some words. Shawn walks away. "You're in over your head, mystic."

Scene 10 -- Exterior, home of the McCallums: Lassiter walking by the cuffed Shawn Lassiter, trying to force him into car, as Shawn goes into his "psychic" mode, and convinces the Chief that he knows who the killer is.

Juliet works to set up a surprise birthday party for Lassiter (despite the fact that she must know him well enough by now to know he'd hate it!) and talks to his mother (who didn't know he was separated) and invites everyone in his little black book (of people he's responsible for sending to jail) to his house for a party. Now he has to move...

While Juliet is working undercover at a college sorority, Lassiter is assigned a "rookie" detective, who turns out to be a middle-aged woman who is abrasive and deluded. While Lassiter gets to make several funny facial expressions, the plot of his segments is not silly fun, but stupid.
