Hagerstown Butterflies

There are 30 butterfly sculptures in the Historic Downtown of Hagerstown - below are photos of some of them.

Here's the explanation from the Hagerstown news:

April 23, 2009
A swarm of 30 butterfly sculptures are now scattered around the public square. The sculptures are part of a fundraiser for the new Barbara Ingram School For the Arts. Organizers say they're also a way to bring more visibility to the Arts and Entertainment District. Each has a different theme and has been decorated by a local artist, paid for by sponsors. The butterflies will be here for for the next two months [then auctioned off].
