Beki has been an active member of Denver’s theatre community since the early 1980’s when she started volunteering at the then Bonfils Theatre on East Colfax.  In the early days, she served various productions as Stage Manager and Board Operator.  After several experiences of assisting with props and set dressings for shows, she realized there was a  niche to be filled and started collecting items to be used in productions.  This became All Propped Up, her prop rental business which has provided affordable, quality props to theatres throughout Colorado.

Beki has served as prop mistress for countless theater companies over the years.  Her warehouse and her ingenuity have provided authentic set dressing and lifted the quality of productions throughout the area.

In addition, she has proudly served the Denver theatre community as a teacher for numerous years at Colorado Free University where she taught an adult education class called Front Row Center which provided a safe companionable environment for countless single patrons to attend theater throughout Denver.

She was the Company Manager at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival for seven years. She also managed and worked on theater programs in mountain communities such as Grand Lake, Creede and Pagosa Springs.

She has been writing as a Theater Critic for over twenty years, currently providing theatre insight to GetBoulder.com, always with an eye to getting people out to see live theater.

She has acted as the Stage and Box Office Manager for nearly every performing group in Denver including Colorado Ballet, Central City Opera, the Botanic Gardens, Denver Center and several small theatres. She is currently the Box Office Manager for the Denver School of the Arts, working to engage young people as future theater patrons and performers.

The official award presentation will take place during the 2019 Henry Awards, Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Lone Tree Arts Center at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6:00 PM with the ceremony starting at 7:00 PM. There will be a catered reception following the ceremony.
