Welcome to The Fountainhead Institute. In our 2011-2012 school year (August 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012) we will study the philosophy of Ayn Rand, as described in both her fiction and non-fiction books. Such a philosophy may be workable on a small scale - in the United States of the 1950s, for example, when the US was the ne plus ultra of the world in all fields, and had no competition that it didn't allow. But now, 50 years later, the United States has weakened itself in every field, and other countries have not only strengthened themselves but also have a population willing to work for starvation wages... can capitalism as described by Ayn Rand bring the United States back to the top of the world...is capitalism and the United States government model as originally founded doomed? |
