The guest-cast is rather ill-served in this episode. Bandits on the outside, stagecoach passengers on the inside, and nobody gets very much screentime. Steve, as an unpleasant passenger, disappears just after the halfway mark, never to be seen again.
Steve as Harry Downs is the last, and 7th, passenger to buy a stagecoach ticket.
No room for a seventh person inside.
Steve orders Randolph Mantooth to take shotgun, but his wife has a baby.
Kid Curry tries to make peace, Harry Downs tells him he can ride shotgun, or not ride at all.
Or draw.
Steve gets to register shock when he sees how fast Curry can draw.
He gets to show uncomfortableness in a few shots on top of the stagecoach.
After the stagecoach is robbed, it stops at a station. The bandits recognize
Kid Curry and Hannibal Hayes and go to the station to get them, to turn
them in for the reward. The station master refuses, and a shoot out ensues.
Steve thinks of how he can get the drop on everyone.
Steve gets the drop, has Curry and Hayes untied, and is going to bring them outside.
Randy Mantooth tackles him.
Steve is tied up, and we don't see him for the rest of the episode.
Not even when the stage leaves after the fight is over!
