| The car and van arrives at the rear gate of Hermetico, and the gang approaches the fence. Warlock, Frug, and Simon when Frug succumbs to nerves, successfully cut through the wire. Then Simon puts on his polaroid glasses and makes his way through the neutral strip using a metal detector to avoid the mines and the glasses of course to avoid the infrared beams.
Once on the other side, Simon stands ready as Frug activates a very long panel with little metallic balls set into it. It reaches the other side and Simon puts down the legs on the other end. Then, each of the men rolls across.

Once on the other side, the gang goes to one of the air shafts. Simon lights an acetylyne torch and cuts through the top of the shaft, and then they lower Frug down. He proceeds to shoot various sets of guards with anasthetic darts, and then opens the back door allowing the rest of the gang to enter. The entire gang goes into the final room which guards the cargo doors.
Frug remains within this room, guarding the guards - who remains standing - with a submachine gun, while the rest of SWORD begins to load up the van with valuables.

Warlock and Simon are busy loading cases on a cart, when Simon looks around. They are alone. Simon proceeds to knock Warlock unconscious, and then takes out Nero Jones and the Bishop. Within the final guard room, Frug looks out the window to see what it is going on, giving one of the guards the opportunity to press the ALARM button.
Warlock has recovered, and flees, but is unable to get out of the gate using exit cards pilfered from the authentic Hermetico guards. He hears the rattle as Simon rolls through the infrared beams to the other side, and fires at him futily. |
Simon gets into the car and burns leather toward the house.

| At the house, Monk and Galaxy have been watching the clock intently. It's getting very close to the deadline, 2 am. Miss Darling asks for a last cigarette. Galaxy gives her one, but Darling asks for the holder out of her bag. Galaxy gives her the bag, which enables Darling to remove the anasthetic darts as well.
Simon continues to drive like mad, and drives through the gates of the house. He sprints into the house and down into the cellar. Just as he reaches the door, he sees the blue light that shows that the laser has been activated. |

| Simon rushes into the room to see all the lasers bearing down mercilessly on the panel where Miss Darling once was. He looks down in grief, only to see Miss Darling pop up from behind a bank of computers.
She had escaped from the electromagnetic belt with the use of a hairpin, but will not tell Simon how she knocked Monk and Galaxy unconscious. "You'll have to read my next book," she tells him smugly.
"You'll never live to write it." snaps Warlock.

Simon attacks Warlock and they fight. Miss Darling digs into her purse for another anasthetic dart. Warlock knocks Simon unconscious, but Miss Darling shoots him with a dart and he falls unconscious into a rolling chair.
Simon and Miss Darling kiss. Galaxy regains consciousness and stumbles towards them, wanting to get in on the act. She accidentally pushes the chair in which Warlock lays, and it rolls into the line of the lasers and Warlock is obliterated. The trio look on in shock. FINIS.
